If members of your police department are planning to attend, please contact the Office of the City of Bethlehem Police Commissioner at (610) 865-7295.  In order to plan for this event and to best honor our fallen brother, we are requesting the following information:

  • Approximate Number of Officers Attending
  • Any Specialized Units attending (Honor Guards, Color Guards, etc.)

 Tentative Order of Events:  (More details to follow)

0800 Hours - PSP Ceremonial Unit & BPD arrive at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad Street, Bethlehem
 
0830 Hours - Family is escorted to Connell Funeral Home by MC Escorts 
 
0900 Hours - Hearse, Family (Limos), Ceremonial Unit and BPD/ PSP Escort leaves Connell Funeral Home for Stabler Arena
 
0920 Hours - Detail arrives at Stabler Arena; Family is escorted inside for private viewing; final preparations for Service and Walk-thru
 
1000 Hours - Formation of all Law Enforcement Officers begins in front of Stabler Arena; Pipe Bands, MC Escorts, Blue Knights, Patriot Guard Riders are assembled into designated areas
 
                 - Doors open for Stabler Arena access
 
                 - Designated seating:
    • Family: 100 seats on floor of Stabler Arena
    • Bethlehem Police: 150 seats immediately behind family on floor of Stabler
    • Pennsylvania State Police: Left side bleachers, Access from floor of Stabler
    • New Jersey State Police: Right side blechers, Access from floor of Stabler
    • All other State Police Agencies, Right side bleachers, behind NJSP
    • All Federal Agencies: Bleachers accessed from floor
    • All local police agencies: First and upper levels surrounding floor of Stabler Areana
 
1100 Hours - All Law Enforcement Officers are briefed; those attending the Services begin entering by 1115 Hours
 
1130 Hours - Services begin inside Stabler Arena
 
  • At the conclusion of Services, Walk-thru begins with Pipe Bands marching from Goodman Drive and Stabler Arena front driveway
    • All agencies will walk up center aisle of the floor of Stabler Arena, render salute to Sergeant Renninger
    • Exit to the right and back toward front of Stabler by outside hallway
    • Order of Walk-through:
      • Bethlehem Police Department
      • Pennsylvania State Police
      • New Jersey State Police
      • All other State Police Agencies
      • All Federal Agencies
      • All Local Police Agencies
    • Assembly in front of Stabler Arena:
      • Bethlehem Police Department
      • Pennsylvania State Police
      • New Jersey State Police
    • All other agencies return to their vehicles after walk through to prepare for procession

 

  • At the conclusion of the Walk-thru, PSP Ceremonial Unit prepares for Procession to Liberty High School*

 

  •  
    Procession will leave Stabler Arena and head to Liberty High School, 1115 Linden Street, Bethlehem

 

  • Transfer from Hearse to Caisson in front of Liberty High School (LHS Bagpipes)

 

  • Procession then continues on Linden Street to Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden Street, Bethlehem

 

  • Graveside Services are conducted and all Units are Dismissed from Cemetery
